Chelsea Handler's Education Background

Chelsea Handler is an American comedian, actress, author, and television host. She is very well known for her late night talk show, Chelsea Lately, which airs on the E! Channel. She has also written three hilarious books: Are You There Vodka? It’s Me Chelsea, My Horizontal Life, and Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang. Now, she is venturing onto the big screen in the animated movie, Hop. EDUinReview will now take a look at her education background.
Handler was born on February 25, 1975 in Livingston, New Jersey. She was the youngest of six children and draws on her childhood memories for many of her comedy acts. Her parents are Sylvia and Melvin Handler, who raised Chelsea and her siblings in Reform Judaism. She grew up in New Jersey and graduated from Livingston High School in 1993.

After high school, Handler decided to move to Los Angeles when she was 19-years old to pursue an acting career. She became interested in a career as a stand-up comic after telling her DUI story to a class of other DUI offenders and they thought she was funny. The rest is history.
Handler appeared on the Oxygen series, Girls Behaving Badly, as a regular. She has also appeared on other television shows, such as My Wife and Kids and The Practice. In April 2006, she hosted The Chelsea Handler Show, which lasted for two seasons. On July 16, 2007, her late night comedy show, Chelsea Lately, premiered on E! and is scheduled to run through 2012. She also has appeared on the Internet show In the Motherhood since 2007 but decided to drop out of the show when it was picked up by ABC with the intent of turning into a tradition television show.
Handler has written three books, all of which have been on the New York Times Best Seller List and two of which have been #1. Her next book, Lies Chelsea Handler Told Me, is due to be released in May 2011.
