Will.I.Am is an American rapper, actor, songwriter, and producer. He is probably best known for being in the band The Black Eyed Peas. He also produces music with other artists, such as Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Michael Jackson, and Usher. He also provided his voice for Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa and appeared in X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Date Night. Will.I.Am is headed back to the big screen when he lends his voice to Rio: The Movie, along with Anne Hathaway, Jesse Eisenberg, and Jamie Foxx. EDUinReview will now take a look at this talented artist’s education background.
Will.I.Am was born as William James Adams, Jr. on March 15, 1975 in Inglewood, California. He was raised by his mother, Debra, who also was one of the first people to encourage him to develop his musical skills. He attended Palisades Charter High School.

While in high school, Will.I.Am met Allan Lindo, another member of The Black Eyed Peas. The two quickly became best friends and formed a rap group called Atban Klann. The band was signed by Ruthless Records in 1991. Will.I.Am’s first rap song was called “Merry Muthaf*ckin’ Xmas” and was featured on Eazy-E’s extended play album, 5150: Home 4 tha Sick.

When Eazy-E died in 1995, Will.I.Am left the record label and started another group, which would one day be called The Black Eyed Peas. The band has released four albums to date: Elephunk, Monkey Business, The E.N.D., and The Beginning.
Will.I.Am has won seven Grammy Awards, one Latin Grammy Award, one Kids Choice Award, and one BMI President’s Award.
